About Jim
As President and CEO of James Burchill & Associates,
Inc. (JBA), Jim Burchill offers his clients nearly
thirty years of experience in advocacy, political consulting,
project entitlements, and labor relations.
Jim opened JBA in 1982 to offer the expertise he gained
working in the legislature and on political campaigns
to a diverse clientele of developers, corporations
and labor organizations. He tailors his specialized
consulting and advocacy services to the individual
needs of each client, and throughout its tenure, JBA
has facilitated the completion of numerous successful
development projects, project labor agreements, and
political campaign bids.
Prior to opening JBA, Jim served as Senior Assistant
to Howard Berman, who now serves as a United States
Congressman. Jim has also served as Chief of Staff
for the Central California assemblyman Norm Waters.
Jim began his career in political campaign management,
securing victories for and actively participating in
presidential, local, and state campaigns.
Jim received his Bachelor of Arts in Government from
California State University, Sacramento.
