DIRECTIONS FOR SIGNING UP WITH GOODSEARCH.COM TO HELP
RAISE $$ FOR QUAIL RIDGE WILDERNESS CONSERVANCY
Only your name and an email address are needed; the sign-up process takes
less than a minute.
- Open your browser
- In the Search window, type Goodsearch.
This will bring up the
Goodsearch page with its own search bar or click on link --> www.goodsearch.com
- Click on the button that says `Choose a Cause'.
This opens a window that asks you to type in the name of your cause, in this case
type in Quail Ridge Wilderness Conservancy.
- Press the `Return/Enter' key on your keyboard.
This will give you a small window that says ‘fantastic!’ and the option to sign in with
either Facebook or your email address.
- If you choose the email address, click on that option.
This will present a small window that asks for your name, email address and
preferred password.
- Click on the purple ‘sign up' button.
This will bring you to the
`Goodsearch' search page again and you'll see `You're supporting Quail Ridge
Wilderness Conservancy'.
- Add this page to your `Bookmarks’ or your `Favorites’
Placing it on your Toolbar is especially handy.
- Use this page to do your web searches.
Each search (even if
you repeat the same search multiple times) contributes $.01 to QRWC.
Please note that within a few minutes ot` signing up, you will receive an
email from Goodsearch asking you to confirm your account. In order to
activate your account, you will need to click on the link provided in the
email that says `Conlirm account’.
Goodsearch is a company offering a patent—protected, Yahoo!-powered search engine that
donates a penny per search to nonprofit organizations and schools that are registered with
it. QRWC is one of many thousand such charitable organizations that have been accepted
and registered to receive these donations.
